Trev, I would have to say the Killers are just another mindless punk band. On a seperate note, I saw Black Rebel Motorcycle Club last night at the Fine Line and they were outstanding. Their new album "Howl" is quite a departure from their first two albums. It combines southern rock with folk and bluegrass. I am not ashamed to admit that it took me about five or six listens to warm up to it, but I am now a fervent advocate of it (despite the open anti-Bush sentiment). They are really a great live band and I would highly recommend seeing them in concert.

Vern,

While I believe that Howl so far seems like a quality album, I am surprised that the spiritual direction this album has taken did not dissuade you from enjoying this album. I would classify this as more of indie rock interpretations of gospel music.
