Post details: What the World Eats06/06/07What the World EatsTime Magazine has an interesting photo collection of showing the amount of food a family eats during a week as well as the equivalent amount in US dollars. The differences are striking between the first and third world countries. It doesn't mention if any attempts were made to find a "typical" family or not. Note the number of families who buy bananas. -Trevor Filed Under: News @ 6:51 pm by Hemeac Trackback address for this post:http://hemeac.com/htsrv/trackback.php/554

I can't believe how some families can spend $500 in a week on food. I don't even spend that in a month. It was also so sad to see how little the Aboukbakar family had in a week. It doesn't look like it is hardly enough to sustain them. That is very interesting to see though. I'd like to know as well if these were "typical" families.

Don't like the draconian restrictions? Talk to someone who cares because you probably weren't breastfed enough as a child.
